Gunta Liepina Griva
Born in Riga, Latvia, 1942.

1961 – Graduated J. Rozentals Art School
1966 – Started participating in exhibitions
1967 – Graduated Art Academy of Latvia. Faculty of Visual arts led by prof. Ed. Kalnins
1970 – 1973 Has taken graduate studies in I. Repin’s institute in St. Petersburg, Faculty of History of Art

In Latvia and abroad has participated in more than 50 exhibitions.
14 solo exhibitions have taken place since 1984. The most important of them:

1993 – M–6 gallery Riga, Latvia
1993 – CARRE’ d’ OR gallery Paris, France
1997 – A Suna gallery at The Black Pigeon, Riga, Latvia
2000 – LAT Fine Art gallery, Valencia, Spain

In various fine art competitions has received prizes.
Paintings can be found in the funds of Latvian National museum of art, Tretyakov State Gallery in Moscow, as well as in private collections throughout the world.

Works in oils, watercolor, pastels, etc. techniques.
Works on various contract paintings.
Has executed two particularly significant orders in altar painting restoration – Christ and Holy Peter (375x175cm) in 1994, Mazirbe church and Birth of Christ (178x145cm) in 1998, Evele Church.
